Training – Third Doctoral School – July 2023

The Third Doctoral School of the European Training Network project SMARTGYsum brings a new appointment among the six main networkwide training events that will be organized during this project.
The conference will continue ESRs’ participation in special courses, each giving a certificate worth 1 ECTS credit. It will also include social events to get to know each other among the consortium members, improve research integration between the project beneficiaries and partners, and establish long-lasting collaboration between the ESRs.
This Third Doctoral School will be co-located with the doctoral conference DoCEIS 2023 and Young Engineers Forum on Electrical and Computer Engineering YEF-ECE 2023 giving participants the opportunity to take profit of both events.

Symposium will be held in Caparica, Lisbon (Portugal) at NOVA School of Science and Technology campus.
Caparica is a city nearby Lisbon, with very good acessibility connections. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal with a population of one million inhabitants, is a modern city, which has a lot to offer both in terms of history, culture, and social life. It stands on the westernmost point of land of the European continent, where the Tagus river flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Its Atlantic climate, with some Mediterranean influences, is probably the mildest of all European capitals

After the preliminary registration (initially up to June 7, 2023), each participant will have to formalize the inscription by paying the registration fee of 450€ compiling this form.

This invoice includes:

  • Meals
  • Access to the training and technical activities
*There is a reduced fee of 350€ for supervisors and professors

An agreement is achieved with Tryp Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel, with a rate of 132,00 € person/night for single room and 145,00 € person/night for double room, both rates include breakfast.
Hotel room rates are valid through May 17.
The reservation of the rooms must be made by sending an email with the subject "SMARTGYsum" and the details of the reservation (number of rooms, type of room, date of arrival and departure) to t.gallardo@btravel.com before the due date May 17.

Please, consider that the Doctoral School takes place in high season and the number of rooms is reduced. These will be assigned in order of reservation.
